Moyes - IN or OUT ?

How significant is finishing above the red side two seasons in a row?

More in 71% of our games.

Averaged across the entire season, we've had more possession than our opponents.

Which sort of negates his ' all we do is hit & hope, never hold the ball up etc' argument., as that's simply not how we play.

We mix it up yes, but we're in no way one dimensional.

I can't really believe anyone wants Moyes to leave. He has had to sell to buy and with 6 games to go we are within 4 points of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham and 3 off a Champions League spot. Moyes has the respect of the current players, he's able to spot and bring in players who develop into quality players under him and he does it in a calm and considered manner. Would i sacrifice an FA Cup win for everything Moyes brings to this club, not a chance. Without Moyes, key players leave. Could the next manager do what Moyes has done and spend that money wisely? If he doesn't there isn't anymore money and this club could find itself in consistent relegation battles very quickly. I was right behind the goal that Wigan scored their 3 goals in and at the end of the game i was gutted. It was a real chance to win something. But in the grand scheme of things do i really care about the FA Cup more than our league position? No. I'd prefer to be finishing 4th, 5th and 6th in the league every year than winning an FA Cup once in a blue moon. Wenger was right when he said qualifying for the Champions League was the third most important aspect of his season, after the Premier League title and Champions League.

Winning the FA Cup would give the supporters a boost and a short term high. Long term it's fairly meaningless. Qualifying for the Champions League means seriously increased revenue, an increased profile for the football club throughout the world and a club that could finally be attractive to a serious investor.

If i were Moyes, and there was no fresh investment for next season and possibly no European football, i'd feel that i'd taken the club as far as i can and continuing in the job would be a little like ground hog day. He's waited for some proper fresh investment for a long time.

Thanks 'mate'.

How about the time it's in the air before it reaches it's desitnation mate?

That'll still be classed as being in possession of the ball 'mate', if it reaches it's intended target.

Are you suggesting that our possession stats could be skewed by those 3 million balls we hit into Earths orbit during the game like? haha

Even a missed pass would count as our posession up until it reached an opposition player.

The way it works is they literally start a stop watch when ever we win the ball and stop it when the other guys get it. If that's longer then another stop watch for the other side we win the posession.

That's what I mean mate. If it's just in the air.

Picture this if you will:

He's just done that thing, christ knows where it will land, but it's in the air, for seemingly weeks, is that our ball still?
