Moyes - IN or OUT ?

How significant is finishing above the red side two seasons in a row?

I agreed with everything Moyes done last night. The set-up, the attitude the post game comments. The frustration for me is I hardly ever feel like that. It was the best of Everton and what I'd expect of our manager.

I know he doesn't manage the side with the idea of keeping me sweet but surely you should feel some kind of common purpose with your manager???

He's got me in two minds again.

I can't remember which game it was earlier in the season, possibly Spurs at home, he had me feeling like this with his team selection that day, then reverted back to type and dashed my hopes. I hope the attitude and decisions he made yesterday are here to stay, if he stays obviously.

So do I. It's epic Moyes popcorn to play Nev & Naisy next week though.

It's been done before. I wish he never made me hate him.

Yeah spurs at home we had hibbert, gibson, heitinga, neville and coleman all available and he went for gibson and coleman and left the others on the bench.

Was fantastic just because I didn't see it coming at all. And then he goes and plays neville at home against wigan, ffs.

I'm guessing he's just thought, sod it, we may as well go all out and see what that brings us, if it's Champs League football and a bigger budget then I'll stay, if not then at least I gave it a go. He's also seen a bigger reaction from the fans this season when performances haven't been great and I don't remember a season where our form and performances against the bigger clubs has been highlighted as much, so maybe that's forced his hand into re-thinking how we go about it.

I could be talking bollocks, I do a lot of it, but I reckon Champions League football he stays, anything less and he's gone because Europa League isn't going to give him the boost in budget that he's after, and no doubt debt will swallow up tv money.

Like every manager he will still make mistakes. Sir Alex still does it, I don't see why Moyes shouyld be immune.

Would I take 1 FA cup win or final over being one of the top 6 sides in the league on a consistent basis? If you had asked me after the Wigan game I would have said yes. Now the dust has settled I would probably change my mind.

I realise 6th or 7th gets you nothing, but with the backing he receives from the board in a financial capacity it's quite a feat to even pull that off on a consistent basis.

Really hope he is allowed to turn this team into what it could be with a few extra additions. I wasn't even worried about going to Arsenal and being able to get a result last night, that's how good a job he is doing.

which is why europe is now essential, otherwise whats the point of putting in all of that hard work only to finish with nothing. we are looking at 3 seasons without europe at the moment while teams like arsenal who have been pretty woeful currently occupy 3rd.

That's the shame of it.

This is such a good team and it's played so well all year. And yet two crappy one off performances in the cups and we'll end up with no trophies and probably no europe to show for it.

So frustrating. Ten points in our last five games and that's our highest ever points total in a 38 game season. But if that total gets us finishing 6th, as it probably will, we might as well finish 17th with 30 points for the good it does us.

Why can't we have both? Hate this which one would you rather bollocks. We're better than that.

Its possible of course but when faced with the realities of our ownership issues, its far more likely we'll get neither.
We're actually not better than that either, we were once, that was ni on 2 decades ago though before everyone else had money and we didn't.

I like that he's taking a bit more risk (relative to what he normally does) in recent matches. Starting Barkley against Spurs and Arsenal for one.

I think this season proves we can get top 5 and a Cup Final (and once you're there well it's 50/50), we just mess up a game here or there. It's not like they're out of reach. So we are pretty good.

this season liverpool/spurs had a new manager, chelsea got rid of di matteo and brought in benitez and arsenal sold van persie and brought in poor replacements for him,
Top 4 should of been possible, europa league should of been a definite

If we dont make europe this season Moyes will walk.
