Moyes decisions today.

Moyes obviously saw Barklay blossoming at Shef Weds into a forward passing, creative talent..... giving him no option but to play Hitz and bring Jonny on as sub.

No brainer ffs.

not the team i would have played but we got the points. cant complain too much about the team today with the injuries and stuff we have but i cant believe naismith hasnt been given a go behind jelavic yet. he looks like he would score plenty of goals if he was further up the pitch

As he's not a target man I doubt we'll be seeing him there anytime soon. I agree though, a natural poacher from the goals he scored. He's got into those positions from the wing while tracking back all the time so imagine how many chances he'd get playing in the middle!

am i the only one who thought with Gibson off injured and smash hitz not playing 90mins this season and perhaps tiring and Wigan over-running the midfield he had little choice but to do what he did? It also worked, i did actually think at the time it was a good decision. Not really the sort of game to bring Ross on to see how he gets on. i can imagine the reaction if he had and it backfired. Some weird people on here.

Yes, because an attacking player is exactly what we needed when we were being overrun in midfield and needed to slow the game down.

DAT MOYES IS CLUELESS, GETTIN US TO FIFTH IN DER TABLE WID LOADS OF INJUREES. ITS A JOAK REALLY

On the original topic, moyes bought players on to hold onto a 1-0 as usual (maybe just a little earlier) No surprises there. we just went against what usually happens and scored again before we let our customary silly goal in.

Naismith isn't a right sided player really.

You could argue that he could have totally switched it up and played Oviedo on the left with Pienaar on the right, and Osman with Gibson in the middle. But then, why break up the left side partnership ?

Moyes doesn't have a lot of options at the moment, and when Heitinga came on we slowed the pace of the game down and it made a difference, we were being overrun at that point.

Rather than criticising just because he didn't play the players you think he should, look at the effect his subs had on the game. Hitz had a perfectly good game.

Oh, and we're fourth in the league.

is right brennerz

I'd like to say when Moyes brought Heitinga on I explained to the lad by me that this was a good like for like substitution. Actually I fumed a bit but we won and that's why Moyes gets paid to manage and I pay to go to the match.

Well in Moyes.

too right, going up the other end and putting the game beyond doubt would be simply ludicrous ......

RETREAT, FFS RETREAT EVERYONE!! ............ IT'S WIGAN!!!

I love how some on here really believe they know better than a man who has been manager of a top flight team for over 10 years

I usually agree with your posts but this thread you've been way off. Heitinga on instead of Barkley for me was a defensive decision that i didnt agree with.
