Moyes "clarifies" contract position

Yeh, but we're not Charlton mate.

I know but he's not curbishley either. If he ever got the sack from us or left us he would be in demand there is no doubt about that. To actually leave us on the basis that he can do better is what i don't understand. I guess it comes down to money but me personally i'd rather manage a club like Everton skint than a club like QPR with a bit of wonga but still never going to climb the ladder.

It's an absolute disgrace isn't it. More gutless tosh from Moyes. It's always about him, never the fans. We'll never win a trophy wit Moyes at the helm, he's too negative and set in his ways.

If we're still in a good position later on in the season then I could see this becoming a bit of an issue. You can imagine the headlines; "WILL OVERACHIEVING EVERTON HANG ON TO MESSIAH MOYES?", in an effort to derail our potentially successful campaign.

IT'S A KONSPIRASEEE

He wont sign an extension before the season ends because he wants to review matters...but if he feels it's affecting the team performance he'll sign one.

No...still not making sense on the fourth reading of it.

What situation?

I mean whats the problem? He leaves, he leaves, he stays, he stays.

Wont effect us this Season regardless.

Yeah fair enough the first part, if he leaves, he leaves but you can't say with any certainty that it won't start having an effect on the team.

I don't know about you but I would like to know who our manager will be for next season not waiting till may to suddenly realize we have to find a new one.

Come on dave, your not stupid.

Its there in black and white.

He would prefer to wait and have a look near the end of the Season, but if he feels its having an effect on the players, he will look at signing it earlier, clear as hell.

Do you honestly think the players care less if he stays or goes, they still get their wages.

well a lot of people seem to think that they are all there for Davey as you know, it's been a topic on here many a time. I agree with you the wages are paid they'll stay. Players are used to managerial merry-go-rounds these days.

What it may do is say to the players that their manager is not arsed or committed about them or the club so why should they bother putting 100% in for him. Players like Fellaini for instance has just been slated for an interview stating he may be looking to further his career elsewhere. Why should he commit to us when his manager isn't arsed either way?

Fellaini is gone regardless.

The only people it might effect is the likes of Phil Neville.

But, if that's the case, that makes his position nonsensical. It means he can only arrive at one decision if he makes an early one based on players feeling destabilised: to stay put. If he chose mid-season to say he'd decided to go then it'd destabilise things even more!
