Just [Poor language removed] kidnap him, hold them to ransom then use they're own money to pay for him. I mean come on bill... it's not rocket science.

Well its simple, they dont WANT to sell him, if they HAVE to let him go, they are gonna make sure they get every last Euro for him. I cant fault them, they have gave us a price and are sticking to it. I neither blame us for trying it on with a lower price, but sooner or later we either need to either pay the price or move on, hopefully there is some truth in our latest "offer", accept by Friday or BYE.

This all makes me think that the transfer market is just a game of musical chairs and the music is about to stop regarding the fees being paid for players these days. It's absurd.

*TX Bill proceeds to wake up and smell the coffee

The music isnt going to stop, its just gonna get louder and faster untill there isnt anymore chairs and then every1 is gonna fall on their arse.

That sounds about right.

The TV money disappears. The billionaire owners pull out.

It all goes pear shaped.

Big difference between 20M and 30M vs. 19M and 23M. I don't see where us giving them 19M for one player is us "taking them from behind."

For that price, it's questionable as to who is taking who from behind.

I never said they couldn't hold out as they don't have to sell.

But I'd laugh my ass off if they didn't sell him for that amount and then he gets injured or has a substandard (by his standards) season. They could pull a Valencia and be forced to sell a player or two.

Watch the 23M bids roll in then.

if he signs ther'll be a few on here getting together to take each other from behind, a big blue daisychain.

i have said that if this happens then we are in a position where we could survive, deals like this could tip us over the edge, non qual for c.l. is then catastrophic, and by that i mean c.l. group stages is required to re-coup the fee, or selling to ushited, madrid etc. the prize money on offer can be eclipsed by the investment needed

Nah, I don't think this deal could land us in the [Poor language removed], as mentioned before, he's a young lad with a bright future and if anything his stock will go up.
I don't think Bill or any of the other cronies are that stupid to start thinking we'll qualify for the CL every year like the dumbasses at Leeds did.

It looks like the deal's off according the The Daily Star (the fountain of truth lol).

What I dont like, or get, with less than 2 weeks left its clear we've got at least £16million in the kitty we we're going to throw at Moutinho. WHY CANT WE BUY SOMEONE ELSE AS GOOD FOR THAT MONEY?!!!!!

We've left it far too late to even get hold of an alternative. [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed].

are you ready, are you ready for this
are you standing on your own two feet
out of the doorway, the bullets rip
to the sound of the beat.........yeeeeeeer

Bum,bum,bum..........another one bites the dust.

I guess most of you guys dont get the picture. Sporting doesn't want to sell.

They want to keep the player. But since they promised the player they would sell for a certain amount of money (25M euros), they are sticking to that.

Moutinho signed a contract on his free will and "pacta sunt servanta"...

If thats true mate, i think Bill has set himself up for a fall after the interview on SSN. I am a confirmed Bill fan but dont really see the need to speak about Mouthino in that level of detail so publicly unless he was hugely confident of it coming of. Not doing himself any favours.

So essentially we have been trying to buy a player for months for less than the club are willing to reluctantly sell him for.

That's the Everton way!
