Im sick of all the talk...we wont sign him. Even if we did have the money, we dont even need a Center Mid at the moment.

Also, thought id bump this..get more pages :):P

Moutinho

he was talking to fansfc.com and i quote "i know everton are intrested in me and going abroad is an option" also getting good vibes from Nuno. summer signing?

Don't forget that the exchange rate has moved a lot since the summer. We would have to bid like 25% more from our point of view than we did in the summer, just to bid the same from their point of view.

Then there's the whole issue of where any money at all would come from.

I can't see it happening.

Nope.

Right Back, a Fit striker, and winger is what we need.

20 odd million or so for another midfielder isnt something we need right now.

Slightly off topic, but bosman's could cover us in a few other positions and allow us to chase one big money signing like we did with Fellaini this year - whether it's Jo, Moutinho or someone new, I don't know.

Fred, Michael Owen, Hernan Crespo, Salomon Kalou, Benoit Pedretti, Jeremy Mathieu, Maniche, Julian de Guzman, Mark van Bommel, Marko Pantelic, Modeste M'Bami are all available for nothing in the summer...

Everton an option for £15million midfielder

Joao Moutinho could be heading to Everton Football Club in the summer.

The Toffees have been heavily linked with the Portugal international midfielder in the past, and he admits Goodison Park could be an option.

“Moving abroad is an option and I feel ready to make the step up to such challenge,” said Moutinho. “I’m aware that Everton are interested in me. They are a good club and Nuno Valente told me positive things about them.”

The 22-year-old is contracted to Sporting Lisbon until the summer of 2010, and he is said to be rated in the £15million-bracket by his employers.

This fee would match what David Moyes paid for Belgian international midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who has been a huge hit on Merseyside following his move from Standard Liege last summer.

What they dont mention is that we paid a set amount to Liege for Fellaini and the rest will be over a period of time.

I'm sure this is what we tried doing with Moutinho in the 1st place but Sporting wouldnt have it, even if the amount was lower than they wanted.

Again, cant see it happening....
