In the Telegraph: Joao Moutinho hints at a possible move to the Premier League next season - Football - Telegraph

Moutinho was the subject of an £11.8 million bid from manager David Moyes, but he rejected the opportunity to move to Goodison Park in order to stay at Sporting Lisbon. Even so, he remains open to the possibility of coming to England next season.
"It's true I was interested in going to Everton, but I didn't accept the offer," Moutinho said. "But who knows what might happen next season in terms of playing in England?"

What a ****. To be fair though either put off by the board, Moyes not signing a contract, lack of transfers, bad games to begin the season, and lack of wages.

To be honest, Dom1878, I think that depends on your view of the club, board or whatever.

My immediate reaction on seeing that was that Moutinho and his agent had been playing us all over the transfer period hoping to get a bigger fish to come and bite. And that the story about January is all about "come and get me, City, I'm still available".
 
No, he came out and said he wanted to join, we didnt make a high enough bid for Sporting to accept, hes hardly gonna come out and say, "Yea i wanted to go to Everton, but they are skint so didnt match Sportings price, so im stuck here with you lot, i hate you all and wish i wasnt here".

Hes gonna have to make peace with his fans and make out that he wanted to stay all along, thats what i think anyway, but who cares we got FELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.
 
Anyone know how he's getting on with the fans at sporting?

...Im not too interested, just felt like bumping this thread :), 150 pages soon...
