This is the logic that got Cleverley 30 games last season though. (He's free, it's a no brainer..). Same logic with Alcaraz. (He's free and 4th choice, what do have to lose? Oh he's just single handedly knocked us out of Europe)

For me it's about how good they are, rather than how much they cost.

I think he's better than those two, though. He's pretty good. We can't expect world class players in every position.

Though like I said, if we're paying £35m then we should be doing better. How much they cost does matter as it impacts our overall budget, though I take your point.
