Neville for me, very committed and seemed to be everywhere.
Also a very good performance from Fellaini - I've knocked him the last few weeks, but credit were credit's due.

Lescott for me, he saved what looked to be certain goals twice.

Cahill looked uncharacteristically good with the ball at his feet in relatively deep areas in the second half, hopefully he can be our Arteta surrogate for a few months.

Was made up that Fellaini got his goal in the face of all that provocation, most 21 year-olds would shrink. Good all round performance again, he's awesome at making the ball stick in the final third.

Saha changed the game if we win the FA cup and he leaves immediately afterwards he'll still be considered among Moyes' best ever signings.

Pienaar seemed to be given license to roam inside more in the second half and it helped, he carried the ball well a couple of times instead of flailing all his limbs and ending up on the deck. More of that please.

Neville gave a committed performance, special mention to him.

Think it was a very important win, a defeat or even a draw would've been very demoralising. I'd've been worried about 6th.

I went for Felli, thought he had a pretty decent game overall.

Thought the defence were not a the races first half which showed with the goal. Howard wont be happy with his part in it, neither would Yobo.

But a great transformation by the whole team for the second half gave us a deserved victory. It is a massive shame Saha is not able to start a game yet, he definatly gives us something we are missing at the moment.

i d say neville just shaded it for me closely followed by lescott and cahill..... just thopught his committment in the challenge rubbed off on others .....eventually

Neville was certainly instrumental in the second period but the biggest shift in momentum from the lads was when Cahill dropped deeper and was far more involved in the build up. Saha gave us that edge up top that changed their defensive tactics after being solid in the first period and Lescott put in an excellent shift in making several vital blocks, but Fellaini worked harder than most for the 90 minutes and despite not being great in the first half the lad put himself about when most failed to get into first gear.

second: cahill , he just didnt stop running.

third:saha , gave us a lift and a bit of venom in our attacking play

4th:mofro , very very tough match.
unfortunatly he came up against a shocking pro wrestling tagteam in wheater pogatetz and huth.
the ref basically let them beat him up to the point where he had no choice but to start playing a bit tough himself again .very very poor refereeing imo that gives mofro little choice and shows that ref's pre misconceptions about felli's size count against him wether he is challenging or being challenged himself.the double standards must be confusing for the young lad

Agree with Osman and Yobo being below average but Howard in my opinion was average and Baines was above average.

to me howard seemed more erratic and baines got caught out a few more times then usual on the left while defending.(lescott saved his bacon a handful of times)
althought a lot of there game was ok i just think they have showed they can play better.

Osman was only below average because he was played out of position. We are in desperate need for another pacey winger or either Gosling to step up

Saha for me, changed our whole game and got a goal too. He looks class, had an understanding with Fellaini, won the ball up the pitch, got shots away and linked up well. Honorable mention for Joleon Lescott, who made some vital blocks and last ditch tackles that I didn't see properly at the game but on telly they were super.

i don't get this poll, what's the Fellaini love-in about?

Not too sure about all the votes for Fellaini...I know he was bullied, but I thought he was awful in the first 45. Much improved 2nd half though.
Lescott, Cahill and Saha for me, in that order.

I'm not sure why Saha didn't get more votes. Okay, he missed a sitter but other than that he was the most effective player on the pitch. Played through midfield and in attack. He was everywhere and was one of the few players that when he had the ball, seemed to open play up for us. Moreover, watch Fellaini idle around when he could run 6 yards back and put in a challenge (Jo does that also). That happened a number of times during the second half. To me, Fellaini seems to have a problem breaking up play if it means moving from where he is positioned. Okay, now if it is vital that he retains position, then he should stay where he is. But this wasn't the case yesterday on a number of occasions. But Louis did do that type of thing and more yesterday. Great player and I would dearly love to have the King in front of me now so I could massage his ego a little.
