It'll be just the one incident IMO. The headbutt was the severe one; the "elbow" happens in and around the box every single corner IMO and is just being highlighted because the initial headbutt happened. And the "punch" was a push he missed with.

If you're going to retrospectively punish every incident in that game, then Shawcross would be booked three or four times for tugging at shirts in the box. It wouldn't make any sense, because although it's a foul in the rulebook, you just accept the referee misses certain things.

The player and manager have apologised, Shawcross is completely unhurt, if the referee sees it then it's a straight red and that's it. There are no exceptional circumstances here to merit anything other than a three game ban - in my eyes anyway.

Post of the thread.

The press will be over everything. Shawcross is the innocent party.

Hell get a ban and fine for bringing the game into disrepute

Yeah i hope you're right but after what them blerts on motd said i hope the media doesn't pick up on it and the Fa decide to go the Barton route and whack him with a huge ban cause theyre gits. They shouldnt do but you never know.

@Joey7Barton: Felliani's lost his mind. 2 head-butts, an elbow and a punch in the face. Wonder if he'll get 12 off the suits?

I can't argue with this. As proud as i am that we've not tried to just excuse him and blame anyone else, and thta he has apologised i wouldn't have minded if Moyes had done so but also raised the issue that he was being fouled all afternoon by Stoke and you just had to look at the video to see all the holding that went on.

Still right to condemn him but at least try and offer some kind of explanation but its not a huge issue really i guess and probably wouldnt make any difference.

Suarez has been a **** all season, but because hes kept a club like liverpool up in the mid table and their manager has deflected him all ssason, his stamping and diving is only a blemish on his goalscoring.

Bit hey, we want Felli to be strung up.
