There are 3 parts to it which make up the 11 minutes, "Waltzing Matilda", "Street Hassle", and "Slip Away". "Street Hassle" is the middle part.

It doesn't feel like 11 minutes.

Ah gotcha.

For me it's still not like say Between the Bars by Smith. A song written from the boozes perspective. His harmonies are so good.

Everything he does sounds plastic to me. Soz. Good voice though.

For me it's the same reason I don't like Tom Waits. It just all seemed so calculated and all about presentation, you never got the impression that you knew the guy behind the art. Which was maybe the point, but each to their own.

Did I mention I hate Tom Waits? Cos I do.

Waits probably gets why many people don't get him and he's fine with that I think.

He's never done Dancin in the Streets though. Or any of that other mid 80's rubbish Bowie did trying to reinvent himself.

Same mate. Just don't get it. Either trying and failing to sound pop or sounding way too faux dramatic. He's got a good voice but doesn't use it well.
lolwut? The inventor of pop music failing to sound pop? Contradiction in terms - like saying the sea isn't wet enough for you.

Not underrated though - cultural icon who had personal ownership of the 1970s start to finish.
