That's quite an anecdote. What was your silly comment about the Northern Lights, did you try and call them aurora borealis and mispronounce?

A lovely chap. I bumped into him once on a night out in Northampton. I complimented him on his shoulder positions and nice mouth when the subject of his surprisingly-spelt name came up. He was completely open about it and said something along the lines of "Yeah, double B and double L does seem a touch excessive, but I stuck with it". We spoke a bit about how the table was slanted more towards him and I made a silly comment about the Northern Lights, which I regret.

Anyway, he was in my top 3 most likeable players for years, until Jay Rodriguez recently bumped him down to 4th.

Baines, Seamus and Cahill come to mind. Had a mate in Australia meet Cahill, said he was gushing about Everton half the time and even tho Timmy never had to pay for any drinks/rounds, he bought them the whole afternoon/evening.



I hate that guy so much. He was/is a United supporter.

I met Tomas Brolin once and he claimed to have played for Everton.

He wasn't that likeable though, looking back. Had a massive ball of string hanging out of his pocket too, bit weird.
