Most heinous British war crime?

Indeed, the soldiers had no allegiance with either side, were there to help, but still 700 of them died.......
Mate, do you genuinely believe that? I recommend you look out the Jeremy Paxman narrated "British Empire" that aired on BBC a few years back. The template of how England controlled it's colonies has remained unchanged for centuries. Ireland followed this template to the letter. The continuing flood of information re collusion is making some very unpleasant reading for many on both sides of the Irish Sea.

If there is one thing we can learn from this, and Hillsborough, is how essential it is to have a free press who are unafraid to pursue the real truth no matter what.

The last scene in Black Adder Goes Forth, sums up beautifully the senseless loss of millions of men in the First World.
Soldiers really were nothing but cannon fodder and treated as such. Yet no one was ever held to account for this slaughter.

This for me.

After all the laughter, wit and hints of the British stiff upper lip, the ending of Blackadder was perfectly executed. Amazing how many lives where put at risk and ultimately lost.
