We have no idea how ready Barry is because to be fair, he didn't look ready last season at any point. He's 36 and in reality should have been retired this summer had it not been for that appearance record still lingering around.

Bit harsh that, he's been consistent with his fitness since we've had him. He's taken care of himself and manages his games well too, you never see him blow out in games. He's no Pirlo but he's not finished.

As I say though I do hope he's trained on because Thursdays massive to shape our season, maybe even further signings who want Europe to showcase for the summer

He needs to be managed well if he is survive a season. We should have enough to secure a win on Thursday. There will be times we need Barry to be fit and ready to go, hopefully it won't be for a while yet.
Can't understand why any Evertonian would want to have a go at him, he has always gave of his best for the team.
