Will be a key player next season, Silva has him earmarked for a leadership role and Brands is also as fan as previously stated

I like him a lot. Considerably more versatile than Gueye. Properly directed he could be decent.

It could also be that the club are messaging that its bargain time if you want to chuck in a cheeky offer for Williams, Mirallas or Klaassen, but you will have to pay a proper fee for anyone else e.g. Schneiderlin, Bolasie etc.

more intelligent than gueye, and as you say less limited, unless we go big in the transfer market which I doubt is the case, Morgan will be very important, and its smart management to make him feel valued after the way fans treated him last season

Absolutely.

The midfield is now being decluttered around him - Rooney being sold, Sigg will play behind the striker, a new player will come in and link the play between the two as it is very clear Brands / Silva don't think Davies or Gueye can do it (I would agree), think we will see a great improvement.

Am gob smacked TBH .So now it's the fans fault for him being a massive sh@@house last season he took the piss in training and basically gave up when we were in a terrible position in the league when we needed every one battling together
Us as fans react to what we see and we all know what we seen so let's not pretend otherwise .i would love him to turn in to another Peter Reid and hopefully he will but I can't see it TBH. I have been lucky enough to know that feeling when we have lifted tropheys and most us know it's stays with you I want that for my little ones but with the likes of him in the team
putting in performances like last season its never gonna happen. Everton arnt we

TBF he was improving at the end of last season. Unforgivable for his early season showings but football is fickle, as are we. If he gets back to the form when he arrived then everyone will be happy.

He did show some signs of recapturing form but he hasn't been premiership standard for a while, the management team have to balance the chances of him getting back to what he was against the disruptive influence he can have if he isn't playing.

I really want to give him the benefit of the doubt, really I do. The team was in freefall at the end of the Koeman regime, so it's easy to see how some players could have drastic dips in form and losses of confidence. There's no doubt there is a player in there.

However, the one thing we shouldn't stand for is a quitter. That should be non-negotiable. And it was plain for all to see he was a quitter last year, when we needed our best players to step up, he pouted and went away. I don't want someone like that with me when the chips are down.

We don't need that at our club, talent be damned

Surprised at this, to be honest. You'd think Silva and Brands would have known about his piss-poor behaviour last season. I just hope he's on a very short leash in terms of effort and attitude. Both need to be exemplary from here on in; if not, he needs to go.

It's been widely reported he wants to leave. If that's the case get shut asap and get as much as we can.Got some ability but that's not enough.

Its amazing, 2 games and an article and all of the sudden people are talking about how class he is.

Hes classless. No matter how much talent he has how soon we forget how he quit on this team for a WHOLE season. Go ahead and rewatch all of the videos of him making a casual half hearted effort while the other team scores and say "I want that man anchoring my midfield".

The manager and DOF are just setting things up for a higher fee, pretending we want to keep him.

Let's not act like he didn't deserve it last season, He mugged everyone off
