...perhaps Gareth Barry provided the real shield that allowed him to play. I don’t know, i’m just guessing but you’re right that we haven’t got an effective partnership in CM. Saying that we don’t have effective partnerships at CB, on the right side, on the left side or up top!!

This is what I don't understand. Baningime was motm for 2 games, unsworth said he was the best player on the pitch Thursday.

How is schneiderlin ahead of him....its almost like unsworth doesn't want to play the youth unless he has to...very koeman.

Agree mate. I just don't see one positive thing in his game. He really is a waste of a shirt and sets a bad example to his team mates in such a crucial position.

Stood with southampton fans today. They wondered at what has happened to him. While there he fell out with the club over wanting a move but got stuck in and even played his way into the french squad until they agreed to let him go six month later. They'd have him back at the drop of a hat.

Doesn't excuse his lack of effort now though. But yes, something else, other than him, is wrong.
