Even when he plays well he's still a liability. Too slow, particularly when dropping deeper, and lacks strength. Would prefer Davies.

I can't think of anyone better at looking busy without ever actually confronting an opponent. His style is an uncanny combination of pacifism and George Costanza's shuffling papers.

You completely missed the point. People were saying Schneiderlin going off lost us control of the game. It didn’t.

And Bernard or Iwobi would have taken Sigurdsson’s position while Davies comes in for Schneiderlin. So no 4-1-5 Mr. Strawman

I wasn't aware that under your plan Davies was coming in. Yeah putting Davies in for Schneiderlin would have been a sensible change potentially. But as it was the control of the game went away with the Schneiderlin for Tosun change.

It's been a long day and rereading it doesn't make it sound like 4-1-5. But for me taking off Schneiderlin did cause us to lose control not necessarily because Schneiderlin is irreplaceable but because he wasn't replaced.

Fair enough. Since we did bring in Tosun, it would have been wise to keep two central midfielders on the pitch (Siggy doesn’t count because he is not nearly as effective from deep). Schneiderlin could have stayed (or subbed for Davies) and we could have gone with a 442 formation and at least maintained some shape.

‘My point was simply that he did not maintain any shape. He just threw guys onto the field and everything became lopsided. If he wanted to bring in Tosun, Siggy really needed to go

Just watched the highlights on Everton TV and when the final whistle went this fraud went straight off the pitch, while everyone else went on to clap the supporters.
