Not sure I like seeing that. Being able to cover a second position is good. However, moving all over the place just kind of gives me a "master of none" impression. We need players who can excel in what they do, not be ok in a lot of different ways.
I think it's probably a good thing for technical players to be able slot in anywhere, at least in terms of their career prospects.

I can't say I've seen loads of this lad, but it's enough for me to guess that if it went well for him here, it'd look similar to how Moyes used Pienaar in past and Fornals at present. Not someone that everything goes through, nor quick enough to be running at full-backs directly, but the type you can trust to look after the ball and to link-up well with others.

My only concern would be that he's likely to be coming in off the left, and Mykolenko isn't exactly Baines going forward.

I'd still be looking to drive the fee down, though. £25m for a player who they never pick is ridiculous.

Or you could look at it as we have a player that can play numerous positions and can help cover for squad rotation and covering injuries.
Will help with not getting say a CF and winger. Lad can cover both if needed.
Also means we then don't have to go out and buy 2 or 3 positions when 1 may cover it
Sure. Versatility is great to have. I'm not saying it's not. But no player is world class at 4 different positions. There has to be a specialization/elevated ability somewhere. MGW could be exceptional in certain areas. Having only watched him a handful and looking at those numbers, I'm just not sure what he is or isn't.

When I was going through college recruitment here in the states (Years ago tbf), a coach told me that when he's looking for players he looks for standout attributes in one or two areas while not ignoring the others. There are so many "good" players out there that can do a job, but he wanted players that could do more than a job. That's just something that's always stuck with me when considering players and recruitment.

That's him finished at Everton then.

The curse has no exceptions.
He will be doomed.

We better hope he doesnt sign.

Good player. Pace, tenacity, physically strong, dribbles and decent finishing. When was the last time we had such a midfielder?

Better than harry winks, that’s all I care.

SSN: Everton remain in talks for Wolves midfielder Gibbs-White

Everton remain in talks with Wolves over the signing of midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

There is still a gap in valuation between the two clubs and Wolves have yet to decide if they wish to sell.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem between Everton and Gibbs-White, if a deal can be agreed.

The 22-year-old has entered the final two years of his Wolves contract.
