....I don’t get these shouts that Kean ‘just needs to play’. DCL earned his game time, just as Anthony Gordon earned more game time than Kean at the end of last season.

We all want this lad to succeed but folk should stop making excuses for him. He needs to prove himself to be effective at this level, he has to earn his place in the team, he has to grasp opportunities when they arise.

I get your point but earning game time is relative to the players you're trying to dislodge. DCL and Gordon got time because there was nobody else to play their position, or poor competition.

It'll be much harder for Moise to get in this team ahead of DCL or Richarlison.

Also, DCL was exceptional at handling pressure from a young age but Mosie needs a bit more help with it I think. Winning games and being more dominant this season should give him a great springboard to get minutes without that added pressure. I think he'll come on leaps and bounds over the next two years.

SOME youngsters need to play more to show some improvement but Kean has had his chances. He was so poor last season he got pulled off as a sub. He's just never shown any quality in a blue shirt at all. He's had plenty of time in training to settle in and prove himself but instead he's proved he has an awful first touch even against the likes of Salford and he shows off with tricks against West Brom rather than getting the simple things right.

Personally I think the money has gone to his head and his attitude stinks. The sooner he is out of the club the better.
His attitude stinks? what do you base this on mate, unless you see him everyday in training, that's a very unfair assumption.

As an Italian, Carlo will know all about Kean and will be looking forward to developing him, as he is doing with DCL. I'd be amazed if he had any thoughts about selling him at this point.
I am hoping and rather Kean stays. He’s 20 and will learn and become a better player under Carlo.
All this - but if a half decent amount comes in he's gone

It's not an excuse, Some youngsters need to play week in week out, I'm not saying he deserves to start or get a huge amount of minutes, Players like Sancho/Pogba moved away from PL clubs to get game time and play week in week out and they become £80+ million players.
I know these two are world class and it's an extreme comparison but the example is there.

....if you take that view, then all of the promising U23s should have a run of games. The manager will play youngsters if he feels they can be effective.

Nkounkou played midweek and grasped his opportunity. Gordon also impressed in midweek.

Don't agree mate. DCL got game time because our other options at the time were inexistent or absolute pony

...there was a game towards the end of last season, it might have been Bournemouth where we saw signs Kean could be effective at this level. He was actually quite impressive in his all-around play and gave us something to be excited about this season, but he’s not started where he left off.

Ancelotti is on record as saying the difficulty for Gordon is having Richarlison and Bernard ahead of him in the left-sided position, but he’s quickly earned the managers trust and has probably leapfrogged Bernard in the pecking order.

I’m just saying Kean needs to grasp his opportunities and earn game time.

I regularly watch the behind the scenes training videos that the club releases, I've watched him in matches since he signed, I follow him on social media and absolutely nothing I've seen has shown me he's a young lad that wants to put 100% effort in to being a top class player.

Oh well if he's spending time on social media instead of practising 24/7 then sell

I see your point but I also think there is context. Kean arrived at the club at a low point for the team and didn't get many minutes. Those he did get were scarce and with expectations very high in a new club and a new country. Nkounkou has come to a new country but when the club is on a high from the new signings and with very few expectations
The difference between Kean and other promising U23 players is that we've seen Kean be very effective for Juve and it's apparent that he has the tools to succeed at this level.
And Lelouch did say that he wasn't saying Kean deserved to start or get a huge amount of minutes tbf.

We can all see that DCL and Richarlison are our first choice attackers at this point so he will have to force the issue by grasping his opportunities as you say. I think he'll get opportunities with the cup games aswell as rotation for tiredness, injuries and suspension. Just think it's a mistake the shouts to get rid (not you).

Jog on if you're going to spout crap
me spouting crap, pretty sure you're the one wanting rid of the kid because you perceive that he doesn't want to be here, and that's all it is, your perception of the situation because you know diddly squat about his feeling the same as the rest of us. I'll gladly jog on if you stop chatting wham mate.

You completely mis-quoting or just mis-reading what I said is the only wham.

If you love the guy then good for you, but I don't.

he has a lot to prove and a lot of hard work to do, he's currently not getting a game because his competition for the spot is scoring. Plus he's still only just 20 and it's 3 games into the season. If he goes he goes but while he's here fingers crossed it clicks for him. Nobody is offering it to him on a plate
