....I don’t want to sound cynical but Ancelotti seems the type who always backs his players in public, he’s even been supportive of Pickford.
He backed the midfield Siggy, Davies etc in the end of season lockdown games and we know what happened next

not a chance.

Souness is a kopite rat but he had the measure of this pouting prick from day 1

no he didn't

Kean is just the latest in a long line of promising young players who previous regimes have largely ruined, given a few minutes here and there to try and recover situations caused by managerial incompetence and then deemed crap when they haven't turned them around (or on the odd occasion when they did, they were dropped afterwards anyway).

If he or any of the others (Galloway, Lookman, Deulofeu, Holgate etc) had been shown the patience that was given to the likes of Schneiderlin, Williams, Siggy, Walcott etc then the last five years would have been much less annoying.

It was a gamble albiet a big money gamble. It hasn't paid off.
He is very raw. At times it looks like he has never touched a football. Got the speed and strength required. But think he will disappear down the Ballotelli route.
Get someone in who may be older but knows how to play football, can control a ball and score goals.
