Ruiz deserved a straight red against the Dynamo.

And yes, he is a dirty, slimeball every game he plays in... and in every game he has every played in... loser of a person. Pathetic.

Tally Hall is the MVP for the Dynamo so far this season. Very quick and athletic in goal.... he has earned the team two draws in two tough places to play, Seattle and NY/NJ.

Still, Dynamo need some more attacking options. Cameron shows a lot, but doesn't have much to work with... and Ching took a hard shot to the ribs that took him out of the match against Red Bull.

Glad we drew last night as I didn't think we'd get anything out of it.

There's a reason Ruiz was/is the most disliked player in MLS. A Union supporter accused me on Big Soccer of having a grudge against him but the reality it isn't just Dynamo supporters who have an issue with him. A fact this particular poster was unwilling to concede.

Watching the highlights it was a great game for the Dynamo vs NY. NY is looking scary with DeRo in - their front office is making some great deals.

I gotta say - so far only a few games in, the level of play has improved yet again. There are some great teams in the league this year, and I think NY and RSL could take on some of the teams in Europe. LA if they can get their young guns incorporated (Lopez & Cardozo) may also join that list. Good, very pleasing on the eyes stuff.

Spoiler alert!!!!!

Great news for RSL tonight. I hope they go on and win the CONCACAF Champions League final, though it will be tough. They will be treated like the USMNT though - hope they are prepared. None of them are USMNTers, so it should be intriguing for them at the least.

I'm just so excited for the league in general. Huge step forward, and a huge sign of progress to come.

Although I hope the Galaxy spank them in return in October, for now, good luck gentlemen!

Watched the first half and some of the second (Olave's goal was very nice) but had to see the result this morning.

Congrats RSL.

How bout the Rapids? They have the top MLS striker pair in Cummings and Casey. Folan and Amarakwa are decent subs.
Larentowicz and Mastroeni controling the middle of the pitch and Moor and Wynn holding the center of the back. There is not a Team in the league that can match the presence in the middle of the pitch front to back the way they are playing right now.

I am looking forward to the re-match tonight of the MLS cup with Dallas on FSC.

Knowing my luck I just jinxed them, and they are all going to play like crap.

Reading this thread has depressed me. I have season tickets for Toronto FC, and reading about the players you guys are writing about, I recognize more of them than the TFC squad. Talk about constant turnover. At least, now that we have a Dutch coach, we'll lose more attractively...

Why the hell did Tronoto FC get rid of DeRo?

See I freaking jinxed the Rapids. Aweful pitiful. Mastroeni is the glue that holds that middle together.

I just read your first post and winced since I knew the results of the game. Was that Ferreira with a pacifier out there? That was weird. The Rapids had the benefit of playing (imo) some of the poorer teams upfront - I think the true test of them will come as they get tougher opponents. HOWEVER, your team's depth is pretty damn great speaking as a Galaxy fan (it's a LONG way from the A team to the B team as an LA fan right now).

Seriously, follow the conference and watch a higher standard of footy lads, the Dawsons pies at Crilly Park would change America.

You clearly have not been watching the good teams in MLS of late. You'd be surprised. It's funny how the Brits ignore MLS' development, it's like you judge our MLS of 1998. There are teams in MLS that I know could beat some of the lower ranked teams in the EPL. Yes, I believe that. Come on Reidy, you're better than this, don't bait us.

I think it's genuine Kay.. Our domestic league won't get respect, which I understand..

It can't be denied however, that it's getting better year by year.
