Did anyone see the DC United players start to get into a fight with David Beckham when he started whining to the ref about being booked last night? So proud :)

Yes, I watched it as a Galaxy fan (so I'm biased). He gets heated with the ref - no reason to come over and stick your finger in his face and literally start a fight. For all the (deserved) flack David Beckham gets, this season in the games he's played so far he has been solid for the Galaxy, and I have to say, he's been busting his behind out there for the team this year. I didn't like the fight, and thought it impacted the yellow cards given out in the 2nd half (against DC - player that was sent off for his 2nd yellow).

Becks should have been red carded there for the scissor tackle, and that "penalty" at the end of the game was downright embarrassing. I was embarrassed for Charlie at what was a clear flop and dive. Omar barely touches him.

2 games this week for the Revs, 6 red cards in those matches (3 given to Revs players).

It's been a dire week for officiating and refs in general in MLS hasn't it? Vancouver, New England, the Union, LA - yikes. Ugly.

They didn't get rid of him. He engineered his way out. Just like he did out of Houston.

I believe he wanted DP money too, TFC weren't budging on that front....don't know if his new club is either....

In all honesty, I do not know how Abby Okulaja is still a referee in Major League Soccer.

The quality of the play has improved since the league's inception.

It's too bad that the quality of the officiating has actually gone backwards rather than just stagnated.

Congrats, Tx Bill. First win right?

Yeah and much needed.

Started with a loss and two draws (both draws were away to Seattle and NY so not bad results there) but last year, I don't think we won back to back games at all.

That needs to change this year if we're going to compete.

You are very lucky you got moved East this year. It'll be just easier on that side...

I don't know.

Red Bulls are an immediate threat with the DeRo addition and Philly is better than most are probably giving them credit for.

That said, RSL & LA would be the tough ones in the West so I don't see much difference between the two conferences.

It wasn't a dive, he was just reenacting being thrown out of a car windshield.

But if you look deeper in the conferences TX Bill, that's where the story lies.

West top 4: RSL (they are scary right now), Colorado (I would rank them higher than LA), LA (offense still hasn't come together, when it does, and I think it will, watch out), Dallas (in their latest form)

East top 4: Union (who may be underrated, but they are not as good as the top 3 in the West), NY (still not catching up to their potential even with Dero), New England (expecting them to plummet), Toronto/Houston (don't know much about you guys right now)

Which conference would you rather be in?

If you're an average team you have a much better chance in the East of being seeded high for the playoffs whereas in the West it's basically the kings and everyone else.

Tough loss for Rapids. Giving up a late goal in injury time to lose.

God, RSL looks like they are going to run away with the dang shield right now don't they?

If it makes you feel any better, you guys are still much better than LA. LD's (hopefully short-term) injury is a major blow - bigger than I think people expected. The team looks offensively toothless right now. Sigh. Our defense is keeping us in it right now - we need LD back bad. And better options upfront. Magee & Barrett aren't exactly striking fear in the hearts of anyone.

Can't wait for the return game in Colorado - should be a great one.
