We'll see. They have a really good roster but I think they lack a winner's instinct
You don't think they'll go for the throat?

Many thanks to Billy Beane for sending us Addison Russell. We love that kid. Hard luck finish for the Reds' Finnegan, who threw a no hitter into the seventh, got run to the bench with two on that were driven in after he left, and lost the game in the eighth when Addison went yard on Jumbo Diaz to plate three more. (well, Jumbo got the L, but you know what I mean...)
Here's Hector Rondon showing you how real closers closer. Cheese at the knees.

The 101st Opening Day at Wrigley is the first opening day home win in some time for the Cubs. Hopefully, a good omen... 6 - 1 to start the season, and standing on first in the toughest division in baseball (so far).
That'll do.
Well the Twins haven't set the all time record for worst start to a season, but they have set a franchise record. Very disappointing given all the hype before spring training.
Two rookies having fairy-tale openings. Trevor Story for my hometown Rockies, and Tyler White for the Astros.
Glorious for the Rockies; unfortunately, as a team, they'll fade as usual.....
I can see Papelbon going for the jugular. You don't think they'll go for the throat?
One can hope - the challenge for him is not trying to be "the man" that carries the team on his back, day in and day out. If he "just" plays comfortably and consistently, and takes rest days when offered / ordered by the manager, then I think he'll be fine. In the past, injuries seem to have been little niggles that become chronic and then acute due to over-use.Is CarGo finally going to stay healthy? He can play.
Early days. Still over 150 games to go
That's very true. I'm just bitter because of all the high hopes at the start of the season. I also have a soft spot for the Braves, so watching thirteen straight losses hasn't been great...It's no 1988 Orioles though, at least not for a few more weeks

Chipper Jones ain't walking through that doorThat Braves team is bad, isn't it?
I mean, if they signed him even now, he'd still be a better hitter than their entire rosterChipper Jones ain't walking through that door
