Nice one. I'm gradually getting it.

You'll get there.

Just sent Rubén Tejada to waivers, which he cleared, and subsequently became a free agent and signed for the cards on a one year deal.

Seems odd really, as we could be short on numbers for SS, for opening day now.

They're still also trying to find a deal to trade De Aza, who we only signed in the postseason, but with Cespedes now resigning, the need for him is minimal.

Harvey starts opening day.

Here's an educational and historical post for all you kids out there in GOT land. When you type the words "human rain delay" into any browser, you get one answer. Behold, the one, the only Mike Hargrove.

(readjust the glove, readjust the donut, tap the bat, adjust the helmet) Every. Pitch. Every. Last. One.

Lots of OCD among batters, and general mysticism/superstition among them all. Do they still wear the magnetic necklaces?

Weird to start with interleague. Is this scheduled as a WS reprise?

I'm not entirely sure. I can't imagine it to be the case, as was the schedule not announced back in September before the Postseason had even begun?

Also, as for the mets schedule, I'm aware of that

Just got to wait on the Jets now, and hope for a Mets Jets double header!

Two great teams getting together on this one, serenissmo...

Plenty of top talent will be on display Wednesday at Surprise Stadium as the Rangers and Cubs go head-to-head in a unique doubleheader.

The two clubs will meet in a Cactus League game at 1:05 p.m. MT and 30 minutes after the conclusion of that contest, the second-annual Rangers-Cubs Futures Game will get underway.

Top prospects from each organization will participate in the Futures Game and the clubs will receive a charitable donation for participating in the event.

Funds will be sent to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of children in need and provides funding for youths in crisis, and the Cubs Charities Diamond Project, which expands opportunities for young children to play baseball in the Mesa, Ariz. area.

One ticket will be good for both games.

Mets, Jets, Everton. Like me, you have a high pain threshold...

Sounds like a yuuuuge trip.

You can always watch the G-Men if the J-E-T-S aren't in town that weekend.

Every now and then the Nuttings pop their head up to let you know who loathesome and cheap they are. No upgrades on the Pirates, got rid of Alvarez (addition by substraction) and Walker (a solid player) and tried to stiff our ace pitcher out of 20,000 dollars. This despite millions of revenue sharing and the money rolling in from another successful season.

No one expects us to be the Yankees but really all we needed was for Walker or a suitable replacement to be resigned and a good 1B/power hitter. We'll still be good, but good enough to tread water and maybe fight for that No.5 wild card spot.

McCutchen talked about how he wants to stay his whole career here recently and honestly I have no reason why he'd want too.
