Sensational from the Wilpon's to FINALLY put their money where their mouth is.

Mets have upgraded everything really. There is no room for sentiment in Baseball, so upgrading Murph for Walker is a very shrewd move, just as signing de Aza is, you might not get significant numbers off the latter, but he provides an excellent cover, just what the Mets needed.

Bullpen wise, resigning Blevins is huge for me, if he can recapture his early form from before his injury last year, then we've got an excellent left on our hands, Bastardo is a great deal for me too.

If we can keep Wright, D'Arnaud and Harvey/deGrom/Syndergaard healthy for the Majority, we should win the NL East, especially with Dusty in DC, but we'll see.

Team to beat on paper has to be the Cubs doesn't it?

There's talk that Schwarb will be somebody's personal catcher this year, while platooning against righties from left field. Soler plays against lefties - he's had trouble staying healthy but needs to get his reps and it's a long season. Plug Soler into Montero's spot above, and play the real video game lineup. Add Baez in the DH hole or just rotate. Maddon will have some fun with this.

Theo's been like the Godfather this offseason. Writing this sure beats watching the League Cup.
