How do you just disappear ?

Think about how hard it would be ?

You can`t use any form of credit card / cash machine / electronic banking etc, so everything has to be cash. ( unless you have created a false ID and changed your appearance to fit )

Where do you get the cash from and how ?

You can`t go online, as yourself.

There`s CCTV and ANPR covering virtually everywhere in the country.

Unless you left the country, within hours of being reported missing, you can`t leave the country, unless you have a false passport and have changed your identity.

You`ve got non stop blanket TV and media coverage.

It`s just baffling.

Calvert Lewin seems to have found a way

I have not heard any mention of the money thing, they haven't said about bank activity or anything. Also she would have been on foot as the car was still parked where she left it. I suppose if she walked the same route every day she would know all the nooks and crannies and places she could hide a bag/slip away unseen. As for the passport/change of ID thing, that's highly possible but I know someone who can get false passports and they cost BIG money as they are proper ones, it also takes time. There has been also a suggestion that they used to own a company that owes a lot to the taxman so I'm not sure money is something they have loads of. The whole thing is just very, very odd and has been from the start.

Fake moustache and glasses. Perhaps a hat?

If she`d withdrawn a wad of money prior to her going missing, that would`ve been a big big clue and would`ve also pointed the police in a certain direction, with regards to the path of the investigation.

But, as you say, there`s no mention of money at all and the Police initially treated it, as a missing persons case.

Very, very grim situation that is not helped at all by the rampant conspiracy theories from amateur detectives.

Netflix and the rise of true crime content has a lot to answer for.

Is there any need at all for the amount of true crime stuff being churned out?

Netflix has really milked it and created this generation of amateur detectives.

Most of it is the same stuff over and over again. We do not need a six part documentary everytime somebody goes missing.

Could be something as simple as going hiding with her bit on the side, fancy man/woman. Lots of people lead dual lives. The truth will out, the thirst for resolution is what's fueling this, her two poor kids are paramount. Endless biffs on gb news can get to flock!
As for the cops, I've actually a bit of sympathy, the media frenzy and the army of Clouseau's have heeped pressure onto them and eventually they relented and coughed up a few more details - and now from a position of 'thats not good enough' they now find it's 'they've gone to far'. Bullspit! mind your own damn business you meddling bunch of fecal hounds!

I agree that the vulnerabilities will impact on the search parameters, but what people are ignoring is the clear and obvious saga behind the scenes.

Fauling was called in by the family (not cops) around the 5th of February - 9 days after the disappearance - and after searches of the area had already taken place.

Also, he was called in at the families asking only after he made comments to GB News. What concerns me is that on the 2nd February, he released a book.

Why did he decide to make comments to GB News regarding the case, when he had no involvement? Was it to support the search or elicit a response?

As I said earlier, I fully believe the initial police search teams will have been briefed, whereas I suspect Fauling's support may have been viewed with scepticism.

By scepticism, I really mean suspicion. Has he taken payment for his services, and I wonder how many books he's sold on the back of his promotion...

...sorry, involvement. He will have been told to search an area as per his remit based on the decisions made by the investigating officers. Surely, that's his role?

It is not for him to decide the strategy - e.g. where to search. If people can't see this as egoistical self-promotion, I'm worried.
Yeah, deeply suspicious of his motives here. He can quietly offer his services FOC directly to the police / family.

Nope, up he hops on GammonTV.

My missus watches loooooads of those Netflix shows. Obviously as she's now a body language expert, she reckons the husband is guilty.. He showed all the signs of a liar she said...
