My Dad had a ticket and decided not to go, I asked him why...dunno, he said, just didn't fancy it.
(Dont think it was the travel or distance...He'd been to Rome, went to Heysal got near the entrance and turned right round and went back home after seeing the bodies being carried out...
Anyway - long story short.
The next day we we all sat round the table the next afternoon taking it all in on the TV and up Pops that shiz Duckenfield making a statement...I forget the actual words but the jist(gist?) and the body language came over to me then as clear as day and it's stuck ever since...
What I heard and saw Duckenfield 'say' was...

And So It Turned Out, that's what they did and - as far as they can - that's what they are still trying to do.
And don't even start me on the 'None Judicial' enquiry that basically exonerated almost everybody from any future charges of Allegedly 'Perverting the course of Justice' (telling porkies to you and me) because it wasnt an official 'Judicial' Enquiry.
I think someone would've got a big bonus for coming up with that wheeze.
