Go beyond that and to the substantive one that this kid's agent is Railoa. Do you honestly think if he has a great first season that feller wont have him away from here?

I cant believe some are defending Raiola.
So we shouldn’t bother signing him and should sign someone crap instead?

Maybe. But with a buy back clause the ceiling value is limited. That could be a 40-50 million dollar difference, so I think that's not just semantics.

Exactly. That's the scenario for ALL of our players. Every.Single.One. And for literally every team on the planet. Agent want them to move and to make money off them. Nothing new here. It's how you spent the money you take in. No one is irreplaceable. This is football, not basketball.

Look at how fragile the deal is though. Basically Everton have got Kean for 12 months for £30M and are going to have to sell him next season due to a buy back clause.

It's building a house on sand using Raiola. He's there to keep his assets moving around as much as possible.
Only Sky are saying there’s a buy back clause. Everyone else is saying it’s matching accepted bid if we want to sell.

No one really knows if there is a buy back clause or not, one source suggested there wasn’t one and everyone’s just run with that as fact ever since.

It's all semantics: if Kean does well here Rat-ola will have him at the Bernabeu or Nou Camp or City.

As would be the case with any competent agent

He's a dirty rat with top top players under his belt, You have to mingle with him and we should be if we want to kick on as a European team, Long as we get 3-4 seasons with Kean and that elevates us a level and we sell for a nice hefty sum I'm fine with that because that's the mold Everton is aiming for until we can cement ourselves as a stable European team.

You can actually build houses on sand.......just saying :coffee:

Brands seems to have a very strong relationship with every agent! We are following the PSV model, just with more money, it's like playing poker at a bigger stakes table. It's exciting, Brands is obviously a Saul Goodman of a negotiater, and you have to thank God for Moshiri! Take away Gylfi, Delph and Coleman, our 1st XI including Kean and Gbamin has an average age of 24. No-one else over 26yo. Can we dream about keeping them together and moving into the new stadium with Champion's League Football!!

It's a dirty business these days, (always was to some degree, but more so now with all the TV money and oligarchs).
The higher up the money tree you climb, the more filthy and slimy it becomes. Any club with ambition is going to have to deal with agents like this, so you either play the game and deal with it or go hide in obscurity.
