The point still stands. I have a number of Millennials who work for me. Some are hard-working and diligent, some are lazy and disrespectful. I think parents have to take some responsibility.
As some youths would have been 30, 60 years ago and 90 years. But it's this youth generation yano

Funny, I seem to recall myself handing money/food/cigarettes (which I worked for) to homeless people belonging to a certain older generation.
Guess I need to up my work ethic to match that of the glorious Boomers

Most have their heads in the 21st century. As for being entitled, the future is theirs.

Funny that people should label them as having it easy. Maybe they are. Sure the voting turnout argument will stand, but it's an old system. Young people have been absolutely screwed over by the current government and a Brexit vote, by people who had it easy in the housing market, had low tuition fees and jobs relevant to their skills available.

I'd say it's a forward thinking and generous generation. And most young people are voting the right away as well, and for the right reasons.

I can't say that my work ethic differs to that of any generation that I know thank you?
Every generation faces different burdens.
I'm looking at multiple years worth of a full salary to put down as a just a deposit, and many more years to fully own that house. I'm facing a significant burden of student loan which prior generations did not face on entering the workforce. I'm facing an increasingly bizarre and broken political and monetary system which previous generations have broken and which offers no support to my values. My taxes will only rise from this point to support the financial burden of the retirement and healthcare of those generations prior. You say this as though the future we look forward to is a positive one, yet it is one with concerning right wing despots and madmen in power. And it was the previous generations that got us to this point.
Thanks guys :)

To be fair it has always been difficult to buy a house for any generation on low to medium income. I think we buy more crap than we used to which means we less likely to sacrifice as some others may of. Buying houses only really became popular in the 80's until then as whole most people rented.

Other generations also had to live through wars or the threat of a nuclear war at any point, caused by the previous generations.

I don't think we should label a whole generation as one thing or another because there is far more to consider than the year of your birth and in many ways the younger folk are better, more tolerant of sex/race/sexuality for starters.

Absolutely mate, although a decent income takes still far more saving than it used to do to buy a house in terms of yearly incomes.
I think the lazy entitlement criticisms are a bit of a cheap shot and a joke though.

The generation criticism dirge has been cascaded down throughout the ages. I bet the boomers have been given their share of stink by the older generation, and by the time Millennials become cringy old sods like this lot, we will be looking down our noses to the younger generations.
I'm just looking forward to a generation who will drop this rotten mentality and accept the fact that general behavior is influenced by social norms and conditions, which have been constantly morphing in the hands of the ever critical older age group.

That said, I have massive respect for traditional values and old people. But some of them need to discover they have more than half a brain - not unlike so many millennials and people in general. Ignorance has nothing to do with age.

Millenials have endured almost a decade of economic turmoil with wages pretty much stagnant throughout whilst the cost of living continues to grow. The ability to land and then hold down a decent job for a sustained period of time has greatly diminished, instead we now have a low wage economy propped up by part time / temp work. A system which stifles social mobility particulary for younger generations.

Two generations ago people endured the horrors of a world war so the next generation could live a better life. Them baby boomers reaped the rewards of their sacrifice but now seem unwilling to pass down the benefit.

Greed has consumed our mindset, this coupled with a failure to fully adapt to the globalised world has created many of the problems we face today. Millennials from towns and cities left behind in the 1980s have little or no hope of ever bettering themselves due to no fault of their own. Their plight down to the simple misfortune of being born in the wrong part of the country. True to an extent its always been the case but in towns where their mum and dads grew up in steady jobs (Factories, Coal Mines etc) now there is desolation.

It's time to have this chat.

I've seen this generation referenced in various threads and in the media. I'd like to gauge feedback on your experience interacting with Millennials, either at home, in the workplace or in and around the Everton games.

I have my opinion but I'll save it until later as to not set the tone for any subsequent feedback.
