Hope he makes a good recovery, the football may or may not come later but that's inconsequential at this point.

I will say though, having driven a super car, my overriding thought afterwards was that you shouldn't be allowed to drive one on a regular licence just because you can afford it.

They're not like normal cars and you should be instructed and prove you can handle one responsibly before you can take one on the roads.
The only car company that offers advanced driving courses that any Tom, Dick and Harry with enough cash can sign up for is BMW, as far as I know.

Apparently their courses are amazing.

At his age I doubt he will ever play for another top division side (in the big 5 leagues) again. As you say though that's not the point and cheating death and getting another chance at life, is the biggest Xmas present he'll ever receive.

Like a ton on a normal road. Not a fan of people thinking they're gods cause they have a ton of money and can buy a sports car. Glad Paul Walker died tbh, hope it taught his fan boys a lesson and maybe saved a life or two.
Whilst I don't doubt there was naughty speed involved in his crash there are a couple of important points to consider before you say you're glad he died. Point 1, he wasn't driving the car that crashed, he was the passenger. Point 2, the car in question was a Porsche Carrera GT. That car was suspect of having a weak point in the ball joint attached to the upper wish bone causing the crash. Since the crash Porsche have found other cars with the same weak point & hairline fractures in the spindle of the ball joint & had to advise all owners to stop driving thier cars until a solution is sorted. All UK cars were deemed unsafe & all insurance companies told owners that the cars had to kept off the roads. Only very recently have Porshe issued the updates for current owners to have the problem fixed at Porsche Reading for free which cars have started getting fixed. They all got a new set of tyres thown in for free too.

Basically the car broke & he wasn't driving so don't be glad an innocent man died.
