2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

I hope he snotted the nark later.
Team harmony seemingly restored. How disappointing for you (By the way, yes I thought Keane played well and was in the right but Everton comes first for me).

Just saw a replay of the sending off, and I have to say it was good to see someone get an ear full after nearly handing the opposition a goal. All the best teams would have their centre halves giving the midfielder a dressing down like that after making that kind of mistake, but i think we haven`t seen it at all for a while in our team despite players making plenty of howlers that have cost us. Well done Keane for stepping up, and well done the team for getting 3 points.

Was completely daydreaming for *that* incident. Warranted a bollocking imo.

Not sure how I feel about him essentially giving Gueye a send off as well but I guess emotions are high

After that he was colossal though. That's his game isn't it, defend deep, last ditch tackles, blocks. He really is good at defending his own box. Credit where credit is due, could have easily shrank but stood up tall.

One of the few aspects of Moyes' ad hoc 'knife to a gun fight' mentality is the way he can absolutely shut down press baiting and nonsense. Pretty faultless response that turned an insightly spat into a plus. There will be work done behind the scenes on it. Gana and Keane need to lead the way on that publicly in their performances now.

Bang on. Needs to keep at that level now 👍

I've always felt it's 'upstairs' with Keane and concentration.

Tarks is good for him. Once we get a functioning pair of full backs JoB I think can also add depth/cover/competition to our CBs.

Is it me or does Keane seem more aggressive nowadays ? He seems to have real bite in his tackles now and when he goes for a header it seems he's throwing all his weight behind it .

Up to last season , he seemed he was almost restrained. I have always thought center backs reach their peak in their early thirties.
Moyes getting the best of what he has to offer, defo.

the rubbish about keeping him the summer was always mad. He was re-signed as 4th choice, who in the PL has a faultless 4th choice CB? My view on him is he can be great but has a mistake in him and can crumble under pressure, but i rate his professionalism and work ethic. This season hes proven everyone wrong and has massively outperformed his long term average, its been a delight to see.

Im sure he will make a mistake at some point and people will jump on it in an over the top way, but all that is just stupid
