Here’s a thought - if we score more goals and keep the ball better in midfield then we won’t need to defend for 85% of the game and may get away with his crapness due to not relying on keeping clean sheets to get any sort of result. I understand this is an alien concept to our fanbase after the last few years.

Probably is he sits deeper, which either means it pulls the midfield deeper or you have massive pockets of space between the two.

He gave him a 12mth contract to divert funds elsewhere.

I'm comfortable with Davey's decision as long as the numbers come in elsewhere, so far that hasn't happened which is where my concern lies.
