2025/26 Michael Vincent Keane

While I'm not surprised by the rejection of the appeal I'm not entirely upset with it . JOB will play there instead and I prefer him alongside Tarks .
The trouble with that is that someone has to play right back . Will Moyes risk playing our Scottish Cafu there or move our best player so far this season there ?
I would hope this would prod Kinnear into action and get a full back in but it looks unlikely.
This sounds all too reactive for my liking. Why would you need to spend millions on a right back just to cover JOB for THREE games?
We shouldn’t be wasting money to solve very short term issues.

Just like Son accidently broke Gomes' leg.
It wasn’t pre mediated mate so no intent to hurt him. Spurs should probably have been given a free kick in all honesty for Gomes getting in Sons way of the ball.

Same way Tolu shouldn’t have put his hair in Keanes hand.

Yeah i dont get it its not like it was an accidental one handed pull he grabbed with both hands and pulled down.. now got to listen to moyes try defend it the last two pressys. Less off the back in the day we used to do this
It's leaving a bad taste in the mouth for me.

It's not really defensible. I assume Keane did it because thought he could get away with it. It's something that has been a problem for people who grow their hair long, mostly players who aren't British, have complained about happening to PGMOL for years.

The decision to send someone off for it has been inconsistent.

There was one with Guendouzi and Fellaini years ago that didn't result in anything.

Then this Romeo hair pull wasn't punished.

They gave a red for this one in Cucurella

But not this one

A statement read: "VAR recommended an on-field review for a possible red card to Brooks for violent conduct. Upon review, the referee deemed that the challenge on Cucurella was a reckless action and not violent conduct – and issued a yellow card to Brooks."

Keane's was pre-meditated?

I wasn't expecting a different outcome, but the offense doesn't justify the punishment.
No it wasn’t premeditated. Most fouls aren’t.

I was being a bit silly about some of the arguments going on. But son didn’t intend to break Gomes leg even if he did try to foul him.
