Spoke extremely well after the match on MOTD2.

Looks like a young police man who who starts taking bribes and gets well in over in his head in the new Netflix series about the criminal underworld of the NE that Terry from accounts can't stop going on about.

Wowzers.

Piece in the Sunday Times today on his injured foot last season, that nearly led to it being amputated. Club played him well before he was ready, and the swelling was so bad he played in boots 2 sizes too big. Then the meds he was put on made him go a bit loco against Southampton.

Kinda explains his drop off last season, to put it mildly.

Will try to link it.

Gross negligence by our medo staff if true

Its true, all the quotes are from the player. Just cant link it.

In brief, his foot was gashed by James Vaughan against Sunderland, blood everywhere. Everton gave him 8 stitches, and was supposed to be out for 3 weeks. Koeman was desperate, and rushed him back after 10 days.

Then after the 5 2 Arsenal game, it swelled back up, and given meds. Unsie, was desperate for results, and played him a week after he left hospital, playing with painkillers and over sized boots. Against Southampton, had a reaction to the meds, and went wonky.

Then against United, someone stamped on the old injury, and it burst open again. Only near the end of Fat Sams time did it all heal properly.

Not really promising a strong, confident leader in defence can’t stand up to the club and say no I’m not ready.

And to think, the abuse he's had on here.

Staggering.

He played a few good games and then he was picked for England. Transfer fee went through the roof. He isn't as good as we wanted him to be but then he isn't as bad as some thought. I think there is a centre half in there but we will have to see what happens with Zouma and Mina. If Zouma goes back to his club at the end of the season we could be looking at him and Mina, though Holgate must be a consideration.

Don’t mean to be funny like but the player himself saying it doesn’t necessarily make it true. I’m sure we’ve all slightly exaggerated a situation in order to spin something in our favour, I wouldn’t rule that out here. There is after all quite a leap there from having to have your foot amputated to being ready to play top flight professional football 3 weeks later.

Didn’t know that, hope those who abused him on here read it and makes them think a bit.

What is it with us and centre backs with for injuries?

This is why I tend not to go overboard with slating players. I called him crap because I didn't think he was good enough for our club as opposed to his actual form. But the same with schneiderlin, players don't just turn horrific all of a sudden there's always more to it.
