2018/19 Michael Keane

Going forwards in a straight line for a lad his size he's probably above average in pace. The problem comes when he has to think then turn,it's where it all goes wrong for him.
Yeah I’ve said before he might build up a head of steam in certain circumstances but he’s still not quick. Look at the situation yesterday fairly late on, one of their players got past him on the half way line, he had maybe 50 yards to get back at him but never managed it. That’s not being slow thinking, or turning, or whatever, it’s just a simple lack of pace.

Always makes me laugh when I find out that a forward who I thought was fast is actually quite slow, but had tricked me by showing Keane a clean pair of heels at Goodison.

Fully expecting to see Jota get left for dead by some bog standard defender next time Wolves are on telly.
The worst thing was Keane actually managed to keep pace with him at one point but was then outmuscled by the 5 ft 10 Portuguese powerhouse

My Spurs mate text me during MOTD last night saying "Michael Keane may be the worst centre half I've ever seen". He is appallingly bad tbf.

His slowness of thought means he'll always start a footrace on his heels. With the pace in the Prem he'll always come third in a two horse race.

Mate, no CB stands a chance in the present system. Silvas teams will always concede goals, no matter who is playing at CB. The CBs look ten times worse than they are because they’re constantly exposed.

Mina is our best and most aggressive header of the ball. Holgate is the best footballing CB at the club and the quickest.

There's 3 main attributes that fit the style more than Keane and Zouma.

Holgate is the best footballing CB? Are you serious? He's the quickest, no doubt, but he's by far the worst passer of the ball out of all 4. His pass success rate is shocking.

Very. Calm and composed, better with the ball at his feet, can bring it out of the back.

And pass success rate? Keane is great at passing sideways. That can improve. He's not a senior player yet.

But a more important stat is that Holgate has a better successful tackle rate than Keane.
