Knee jerk reactions after a game (both positive and negative) are a common occurance unfortunately. No, I remember telling a load of people that they were being too hasty in saying he was so much better now, and that actually if you watched him rather than just looked at the score line then you could see he had all the same problems as we saw last year but we were doing a better job of masking them. Now we’ve had a couple of games where we haven’t masked them and he’s shown himself to be just as bad as before. Maybe keep that in mind next time.
Michael Keane is immobile, he will never stop being immobile. He is among the slowest players I’ve ever seen over short distances. Gets turned for fun. He’s Steve Bruce but without Bruce’s football brain.
If the defence is well protected infront of him with defensive midfielders stopping the opposition making runs through the middle then Keane won’t get exposed. If it’s like yesterday where there was Tom bleedin Davies infront of him he will get ripped to pieces by an attacking player that can move. At Burnley he was in a set up that had two banks of four, in a team that played deep, thus little/no space for the opposition to run into. Yesterday was the complete opposite. Wide open space space for quick players to have a field day.
