No, I remember telling a load of people that they were being too hasty in saying he was so much better now, and that actually if you watched him rather than just looked at the score line then you could see he had all the same problems as we saw last year but we were doing a better job of masking them. Now we’ve had a couple of games where we haven’t masked them and he’s shown himself to be just as bad as before. Maybe keep that in mind next time.
Knee jerk reactions after a game (both positive and negative) are a common occurance unfortunately.

Michael Keane is immobile, he will never stop being immobile. He is among the slowest players I’ve ever seen over short distances. Gets turned for fun. He’s Steve Bruce but without Bruce’s football brain.

If the defence is well protected infront of him with defensive midfielders stopping the opposition making runs through the middle then Keane won’t get exposed. If it’s like yesterday where there was Tom bleedin Davies infront of him he will get ripped to pieces by an attacking player that can move. At Burnley he was in a set up that had two banks of four, in a team that played deep, thus little/no space for the opposition to run into. Yesterday was the complete opposite. Wide open space space for quick players to have a field day.

Along with Siggy been one of most consistent players this season, find it interesting that Silva has two players he didn't buy playing much better then the ones he did bring to the club.

...I think that’s a moot point given the form of Richarlison and Gomes in particular. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that Keane looks better since Zouma was introduced.

I cannot believe we are STILL dealing with this silly Keane is slow narrative.

It doesnt really matter, he's very good when deep but as soon as he's turned if we play a high line he cant turn quickly enough or doesnt have the nous or concentration.

I think he suffers from a lack of mobility.

He's not quick for sure.

I honestly cannot tell if yesterday he was as fault half the time. Coleman is expcted to push up the pitch, but the cover is Keane and Davies / Gomes or Zouma rotates over. We give the ball away too often when Coleman pushes up first of all. But where is the cover? Gana is a massive help, but again, the lack of a backup is frustrating.

Would it help to have a CB that is more agile, maybe shorter, more mobile? Probably.

Look at Koulibaly or Upamecano or even Diop (who i wanted) at West Ham...

They have it all...

I really rate Augustin at Leipzig but if Lookman was involved in a deal to go there id be ecstatic if we went for Upamecano...he or someone similar would be ideal next to Mina.
