To be honest I'm scared he will be similar to Nugent in that we all wanted him but after his Pompey games glad we didn't

I didn't, I was never all that impressed with what I saw of Nugent and wasn't really bothered when he went to Pompey. I would like to get Bradley though, I have seen enough to know there is some serious potential there.

Granted I have not seen the Eng - US game, but peoples' comments about Bradley seems to confirm my view of the guy - which I admit is based purely on the classic youtube vid.

He just looks ordinary to me, and as I have said with Vic, if your first touch stinks when you're 20 it is not likely to improve.

i always said he was to much of a gamble coming out of the dutch league, we would be better with someone like sidwell. And his performance against an england midfield that gets dominated by every half decent international midfield they come up against hasn't changed my opinion.

3 million for a player that has already signalled his intent to sign for Everton.

7 million for a player Chelsea fans call the worst player they have seen play for them and the fact that hes got his head stuck so far up his arse its unreal.

Wouldn't really want either of them. Not good enough for us.

I could not argue with you mate as you and TX Bill have seen him a lot more maybe it was a one off against England ,Tim Howard also rates him.As for nugent I dont know if you saw it over there but he scored some great goals for Preston before being abysmal at Pompey(y)

Players like Sidwell and Bradley would be very useful. Not all the players we buy are going to be good enough for the starting eleven. We need a squad and players like Bradley are young, hungry and pretty cheap at 3/4 million.

We only have 4 useful midfielders on our books at the moment and 2 are injured. We need squad players and players who are going to demand a place in the team.

I know he didn't have the best of games but maybe that's a good thing, if he played [Poor language removed] (which in the 70mins of the game I watched before my head exploded from boredom, he didn't play that badly) then maybe that will have an adverse effect on his price. Moyes apparently said he wouldn't pay 4m for the lad, so maybe this could be 2m down, with add-ons, as he won't be a first team regular straight away (barring injuries) I don't see why not.

McBride was too one footed he always had to switch to his favoured foot .

Admittedly McBride is far from a great player and the above comments are true. But wherever he goes he scores goals and thats his job. Sometimes the ends justify the means.................!

Last month when we were linked with Bradley he apparently stated he wanted to stay in Germany and had no interest in the Premiership at all. Whisper is a contract with a big German club fell through and now all of a sudden a plea to us to 'come get him' comes to fruition.

He didn't look all that good and I for one would be weary!

I have learned that the ability of this forum to evaluate talent is [Poor language removed]. If DM thinks Bradley can be Carsley 2.0 then that is all I need to know. I watched him a bunch last summer in the U-20's and the national team and what struck me about Bradley was how effortless most of his work was. He dispossessed people as if he was just passing by and then made a nice, easy pass, to move the ball along again.

So go on with your stories of how he this or that (last year it was the same thing about Pienaar), I support DM and would love to see Bradley in Blue where I think he could become a first team regular.

Isnt that the whole point of a forum to discuss opinions and ideas? If we all agree with DM all the time it would be pretty boring on here
