Just that i havnt seen any of them play (bar Van Buyten) you obviouly rate them, so what type of players are they?

Van Buyten - Belgian Centre Half, plays for Bayern, good commanding player who would fit alongside Yobo superbly
Zyryanov - Team mate of Arshavin, mainly a def mid but can score as well and push forward
Dudu - Commanding Brazillian def midfielder, very much in the mould of Dunga
Jo - A very good strong pacy striker

All would be superb additions to the team

He was born in Ghana and moved with his mom when he was like 6 or something to the US, and lived in the suburbs of DC. Signed with DC United at 14 and didn't do much for 4 years. Traded to Real Salt Lake and then signed with Benfica for 1M.

Ghana offered to put him on the national team but he chose the US team.

He's an US citizen.

Unfortately for you guys the only English player who showed up in the 06 WC was that Canadian Owen Hargreaves

To be fair, many of the smaller soccer countries do it as a way to compete with the traditional powerhouses.

That doesn't mean some of the big ones don't.

Who was the big Schalke striker who was African (don't remember what country he was originally from) but turned out for Germany? His name escapes me.

Japan's been doing it for years with Brazilians.

It would be one thing if Adu came straight over from Ghana and was made an American citizen but he'd been living here for years.

Adu at least lived in the U.S. since he was 8 or 9. I don't believe Hargreaves ever lived in England, although I honestly have no problem with either person's national affiliation.

Back on the subject of Bradley here, I think he represents too big of a question mark to take a gamble on with our limited budget. Thus far he's been underwhelming as a holding midfielder for the U.S., and his goal scoring abilities are still out for judgement after only one season. His other qualities are either poor or don't stand out enough to merit the big rush for him. I'd love to have him as a long-term player we could develop, but who knows how big our kitty is.

It seems like 1/2 the national teams in the WC cup will have Brazilians on their squad. Plus you can get a passport now if your 2nd cousins, brothers, son's uncle vacationed in a week in that country today.

Mexico has a couple who were nationalized becasuse they've been playing in the Mexican league. Portugal has Deco, Japan has a few, hell even Croatia has Eduardo.
