Klassen, Davies, Frenchman, Pickford, Keane all looking fantastic.
Baines, Jags, and Williams were decent as well.
Sandro was okay. Just a bad night I suppose.
Rooney looked, well old and just not into it.
Gueye gets dud of the game for me. He's great when playing against teams when we sit back and attack on the counter, but there's no point in playing to defensively minded midfielders in Frenchman and Gueye when we're going to have the majority of the possession.

All in all a win's a win.

I appreciate there's a helluva lot more games to come this season, but I'll go out on a limb here and say we won't see a more enjoyable game than that.
I'm a little concerned with the hubristic positivity seen in the match thread, but I can understand why people feel so ebullient.

Dcl for me and Davies closely behind. Keane and pick were great too. So much stability but lacking fitness and attacking threat.

Wayne was woeful and I hope this showed Koeman he shouldn't be starting every game. Can't wait for sig.

Couldn't watch it just read the page after page fume.. so easy for me to say that Koeman will have taken the pragmatic approach: you don't chase a result in the road in europe with a one goal lead. Played for the result. Still early doors.

in both games playing for a draw (as we did) is more dangerous as it invites pressure

we literally created their best chances by taking 5+ passes around the back line for no discernible reason

Very rusty. We have to remember it is still basically preseason with a few new faces. We do need an additional striker though. However DCL was sharp and eager when he came on, shades of Rom but without the Teflon shins.
