Been in the pub all afternoon and the the headline news on Sky has been the chief honcho of the Met being summoned to no. 10 by Sunak. They have had cameras in Downing St. the entire time awaiting his arrival. There's no development on the story from what I've seen, although there's no sound on the TVs and there's nothing on the Beeb online as to what this is about.

Anyone know? Sky are certainly making a big deal of it.

The tory scum are trying to undermine the supposed independence of the police. They want the march on Saturday banned which the met have so far refused to do.

Have to say Rowley dealt with Braverman very astutely and basically got her sacked ,he out witted her politically, which in all honesty is not hard. However, shows how political the Police in particular the Met have become.

They've always been political, don't let the recent propaganda by certain liberals fool you.
They've infiltrated every left wing group going, the spy cops stuff was outrageous political policing.

Thought he played the situation with a straight bat, knew full well the cease fire march was not going to be violent, they've camera's those with law breaking signs and what not, and will catch up with whomever in due course. He also knew full well the proud boys or whatever they've been named this month were always going to be looking for trouble and kept them away from the peaceful demonstrators which lead to those wanting violence to find it with plod. Hopefully the full weight of the law falls on the hooligans and thugs that were spoiling for trouble and they get a dose at his maj's pleasure. Not that I expect it to teach them a solitary thing.
