Just watched the C4 doc on the Charles Mendez shooting.

No new info, per se. Interviews with officers right in the mix of it are new to me, including one of the SCO19 lads who fired upon him.

But, hearing the chaotic account and instruction 2nd hand about the leader of the operation is a shocker.

I couldn't watch it, for some reason I put myself through the immigration special on BBC2. I'll get round to it. I'll save my vitriol for then. Ta the @.

hmmm.

Justice is the highest office, accountability required to allow peace and no subjugation. When awful things happen without recourse it 'second class' citizens certain parts of society. They cannot choir inclusivity and equality when they clearly do not believe in it.

I read the article on the weekend. Her determination to see a conviction is something that makes this case more unique and you can only applaud this. On top of the type of crime. As getting conviction of a crime of this nature without contact is very difficult to do. A case like the Irish cat fish who targeted and blackmailed young girls showcased this.

As most victims don't go forward and when they do they face police not willing to move forward when evidence such as injury marks or other types of evidence are not available. And that is really sad.

I also read that over the weekend. It's a very well written article. Quite appalling how her case was managed. It makes you wonder how many similar cases have been shoddily investigated and just dropped through laziness and incompetence.
