Bit of gardening advice required please!

I planted a few of these small blue and white bedding plants in Spring and they have now come to their time as seasons change. Will they come back next year if I just remove the dead plant above ground and leave the roots or are they just a once off plant?

The white flowers look like Lysimachia 'Candela', but I am not 100% on that. If so, this is a perennial that could grow back for you.

Thanks for taking the time to help, much appreciated.

Just trying to do a general garden clear up but it isn’t easy when you have a clue what you are doing.

No surprise though that my bedding flowers were blue and white.

@Joey66 cheers mate.

Now for my next horticultural question. I have a couple of Flame of the Forest plants but they are getting a bit taller than I would like. Is it just as easy as lobbing a bit off the wood or will I end up doing the thing in?

@Vegas Toffee Girl all help gratefully accepted.
Peris - best time to prune is after flowering if you prune later you will stop it flowering next year ..My advice is to cut back after flowering to shape then water & feed it periodically.......
I do have a gardening thread ....... lol

Here's my tuppence worth...... we have loads of Pieris ( Forest Flame ) and prune them most years.

Joey will know better than me but but we usually do it after they have flowerd in spring.

If you prune them now then you won't damage them but they may not flower next year.

That's what I posted ..just seen your post above LOL

Looks like I might qualify for a "Go Green" Govt thing to insulate the older walls of the cottage, and insulate the loft, (whats left of it anyrate) after a 3 1/2 hour survey by some EPG bloke earlier. Maybe air source heat pumps as well, what ever they are. :Blink:

Longest I have spent with one person in nearly a year. Was knackered afterwards. Like taking an exam knackered.
