The white flowers look like Lysimachia 'Candela', but I am not 100% on that. If so, this is a perennial that could grow back for you.Bit of gardening advice required please!
I planted a few of these small blue and white bedding plants in Spring and they have now come to their time as seasons change. Will they come back next year if I just remove the dead plant above ground and leave the roots or are they just a once off plant?

Peris - best time to prune is after flowering if you prune later you will stop it flowering next year ..My advice is to cut back after flowering to shape then water & feed it periodically.......@Joey66 cheers mate.
Now for my next horticultural question. I have a couple of Flame of the Forest plants but they are getting a bit taller than I would like. Is it just as easy as lobbing a bit off the wood or will I end up doing the thing in?
@Vegas Toffee Girl all help gratefully accepted.
Here's my tuppence worth...... we have loads of Pieris ( Forest Flame ) and prune them most years.@Joey66 cheers mate.

Joey will know better than me but but we usually do it after they have flowerd in spring.
If you prune them now then you won't damage them but they may not flower next year.
