Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good news that all is well for your Dad. Had a great time in Durham, thanks Anj. It’s a lovely city, a pity we weren’t both there at the same time but I’d love to visit again so maybe next time. Was overwhelmed by the cathedral, it’s just stunning. We bought some sandwiches and tea from Greggs ( we are a right classy pair and Mr G certainly knows how to treat a girl?) and sat by the river in the shade which was a relief from the sun.
Did he let you have a nibble of his sausage...roll that is

Good morning all @lancs blue steady up we are all getting on a bit and the excitement is a bit overwhelming .I hope all had a good night and have an even better day today ,shopping today and I have been warned not to buy anymore meat ,I am a squirrel ,I think it comes from growing up with rationing .I f anything runs out I always have a fresh one and buy another straight away to replace it .Not a draw on the Carabou COYB

Both great restaurants food wise but maybe a bit expensive for a family meal Jazz.
Not really the price that I mean by family meal, more that it is casual. Though as sure as night follows day, the casual restaurant does tend to be cheaper.

We have usually been straight off the bus from the game and in for food somewhere. The boys will have Everton tops on etc so casual is always the way to go.

Morning all, 32 degrees forecast so today I will be mostly sitting in the shade. My valuation has gone up and I‘ve been awarded the 1984 F A Cup and to think I was once too shy to post, how times change lol. Have a great day all.?
It's already very warm down here, i dare not look and see what it's going to be like in a few hours time. People are being very good and helping each other out as it's been very prolonged now and other than a brief shower it's easy 2 months since we had rain here on the south coast. Local authority are being absolutely useless as you can imagine Portsmouth Water can't seem to make their mind up about a hosepipe ban yet in the town centre they have let a burst pipe just spew out water for over a week now!! The valuation thing has gone a bit over my head I turned the laptop on the other day and had 14 notifications and thought "Oh s**t, what have I done" then found I had won a load of cups

Morning all. My Dad's new next door neighbours are having some trees chopped down. The trees are beautiful but totally unsuited to a back garden. They were planted by the owner of the house when we, and they, moved in in 1977 ( they were our next door neighbours in our old house as well!) So, being chopped down are 3 forty five year old poplar trees and an equally old weeping willow. I'm fascinated watching the tree people climbing up and down, chainsaws in hand. Don't fancy that job! Not much work being done today by me!

Poplar is the wood they use for matches and willow I am sure you know!
