Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good evening folks. Another hot one today. Took Dad to his appointment with his kidney consultant this morning. All things considered, everything is as it should be. Then we went to pick his meds up, then he wanted to go to Lidl. Thank God for working from home but my flexi took a big hit today. I might log on when he's gone to bed and do another hour.

The Red Arrows look good Fred. How was your day in Durham @Gwladysover Hope you enjoyed it.

I like Piccolino or San Carlo just around the corner on Castle St.
San Carlo is expensive but the lunch time menu is very good value and always the chance of seeing a player or 2 in there. Been a few times and seen Coleman , Fellaini ( spoke a bit of French with him and he was very friendly ) and some time ago Suarez who of course I assiduously ignored.
Both great restaurants food wise but maybe a bit expensive for a family meal Jazz.

Good news that all is well for your Dad. Had a great time in Durham, thanks Anj. It’s a lovely city, a pity we weren’t both there at the same time but I’d love to visit again so maybe next time. Was overwhelmed by the cathedral, it’s just stunning. We bought some sandwiches and tea from Greggs ( we are a right classy pair and Mr G certainly knows how to treat a girl?) and sat by the river in the shade which was a relief from the sun.

The cathedral is an amazing building. Absolutely breathtaking, considering its age and the tools available to build it. Do come again. I'd love to meet up with you x
