Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

He has to change things up same 10 every week on paper, with Bambi on ice 1 or 2 starting,
It’s all getting a bit boring now DM I was a fan when he came back but he has to get with the times and give some fringe players a go

We had 25 mins of decent footie in the first half, after that we went back to being very average, Ndiaye is head and shoulders above most of the squad, can we keep hold of him ?

This is the thing Dunc.

You know what you get with Moyes and he's never going to change.

He will never do anything unexpected or take a risk.

He's always been safety first and always will be.

I genuinely thought he'd changed when he came back and last season we were playing some great stuff but we've regressed

Oh my, that second half 😩. I think he is single handedly trying to remove any ounce of confidence from Barry. I think his man management skills are non existent for those who he feels don’t perform. Poor Barry’s face, and did Beto do any better? Not for me.

Snap! Not sure I’ll manage it this year though
Well I get a newspaper every day so that means I must be in a shop. However, if I can limit it to nothing else bar bread and milk then I will be delighted. It’s nice to get the delivery boxed off though as I can’t be doing with grumpy people in Supermarkets at the busiest time of the year.

The thing is Val , after that horrific miss and the idiotic yellow Barry was a red card waiting to happen.

Agree with that. A real sliding doors moment for Barry- score and we have lift off but instead miss a sitter and become an on field liability.

I thought he showed improvement last night in fairness but still not anywhere near the level we need.

Yes I suppose that’s right but it’s sooo frustrating. As you said, we are just going worse not improving

@Armaghtoffee @Val P

I've got a feeling we will hobble through to the end of the season with Moyes finishing around 12-14th and then TFG will say cheerio.

We played some decent football for 30 minutes last night and collapsed when Barry missed that sitter .

Neither Barry or Beto are good enough and as @Dunc's elbow says I worry that N'dayie will stick around next season.

I genuinely think that excluding strikers we have the makings of a good team but Moyes is so negative he doesn't know what to do with them.

I'd love to see what a coach like Iraola did with this lot.

Even with just the one expected change it’s too early for the Moyes out chants to start. While we can reasonably expect more from the team, we must also accept that we are in huge transition. Not long ago we were facing football oblivion so I will gladly take a mid table season this time.
We would all take mid table AT but even that is in danger if he doesn't buck up.

Good morning all on this misty one here ,I hope all had a good night but it seems any sleep was not long for some .
Well don't get me started on him ,we are in a mess to be sure and yet I feel we have the players to make a good show ,when we scored ( a magnificent goal ) and then Barry missed you could sense the change ,whether it was them getting a boost or us thinking this is not our night the game changed ,that is when a good manager would put it right ,change the formation ,hold the ball or make a substitution -not Davey .

I was once told that if you tossed a coin from now to eternity that the ratio of heads to tails would be 51% to 49% in favour of one or the other but in that sequence there would be a run of one thousand consecutive of both heads and of tails -so things will change if you do the same thing repeatedly ,sadly I think Davey was watching that same guy and hasn't realised that it doesn't apply to football .

He needs to buck up or be deposed it is that simple .It is not good having a managerial roundabout as we have had to suffer but it is even worse to stick with this past it ,no idea manager.
I am 77 in two weeks so the pressure is on for me to see us better off in the league so that might be showing in my comments but in my mind I am trying to be rational .
We started well this season but they all sussed our "tactics" now we are in the same rut doing the same thing ,if it doesn't work fix it ,leave both Beto and Barry out and change the formation .I feel sorry for them both ,Ifeel that in Moyes words " Beto is a lovely lad and is trying to do all we tell him"
shows he is probably mentally hammering the poor lad and never giving him a rest .
Rant over .Have a great day all COYB
