I hope the day went OK for you and Kay.

Natural to be reflective about life as you get older but look at your kids and see how they behave as adults Pete. If they make you proud then you have done well.

My only concern is that if it doesn't work out then what his frame of mind will be . He did work for Apple but the department closed and hen that happened they apologised and said the immortal words "We will be in touch " as you can guess that never happened and it made him disillusioned about the industry .

Being the cautious man that I am I said that he must realise that this is only an enquiry and he must treat it as just that but it is hard because he has seen a light at the end of the tunnel ,as much as I am really happy I can but hope he gets his game accepted .He has a month to produce and the first three prototypes were accepted with comments made as to how they need modifying .
It is hard to show what the game will do and at the same time not giving enough away that it would let them do it in-house but he knows what he is doing .

That he was even approached is a good sign anyway. His work is already known and hopefully this is the start of a new opportunity for him.

I would go for it G. Better to try it and get refused rather than always wonder what if?

Getting arrested is a very underrated experience anyway, you should try it at least once.

My son also asked me earlier why they don’t use their own names. I have no idea either myself! Pope Bobby has a nice ring to it.

They could have gone just a bit Latin and called him Pope Roberto put him in a pair of brown shoes , given him a 5 year contract at Everton and we would be well sorted. We would never have to fear visiting the Kingdom of Darkness that is Analfield again ....just a thought.

I do so hope today has been better for you. It’s only natural to look back and think maybe you should have done things differently. Although I only know you virtually I can tell you have been and are a devoted and loving husband, brilliant Dad/ Grandad and a loyal friend and that is what matters .💙

Yes would be daft to make a 360 mile round trip and not at least give it a try and be left wondering. I’ve never been arrested but I have been given a lift in a police car.

We were saying this ourselves today. I have to say I’m a little disappointed and underwhelmed to say the least with Everton in relation to the last game post match celebrations. I can’t help thinking it shows our small club mentality- if this was the R/S they’d have a full on concert in Stanley park or similar, going through the afternoon and evening with big names. It would probably be televised by one of the TV companies who frequently disappear up their 🍑. I would def be there even if I didn’t have a ticket and the statement to stay away is nothing short of ridiculous.
It would have been nice to have a big family atmosphere type of Goodbye to Goodison concert.
Oh well ….
