Morning all, hope everyone is well and not too hung over . I’m off to the midlands today for my brother in laws 80th birthday celebrations. He sits next to us at Goodison along with his son, his sons two sons, my husband and my son and we have all sat in the same seats for years. I hope they are going to consider family and friendship groups at Bramley Moore- they have said so to be fair. I’ve already sent them a spreadsheet with us all and about 20 other people around us who want to stay together but whether they will consider it I’m not sure. I’m sure they are already thinking about this - a lot of us are hoping to stay in seats that are close together .

Yes we did, for the hot water and one radiator in the living room. On hot days when we didn’t have a fire we had to use the immersion heater which was very expensive to run so hot water was rationed. lol

That all sounds very upmarket compared to my childhood home

Those houses are gorgeous

I worked in the road at the back of those houses in a house named Osborne house ,it had 37 rooms and we split it down the "centre" for an architect so it then had 50 rooms and he had "half" strangely it was 30 rooms ,it seems they as good counting as drawing .

Good morning all. I'm feeling a touch delicate at the moment. I haven't drank Guinness for ages so the pre show five pints was probably not my best idea.
What a class night, a proper nostalgiafest - Reid, Ratcliffe, Sheedy, Mountfield and Southall all just sitting, telling stories, taking the mick out of each other, reminiscing about Howard Kendall and, sometimes being quite serious. It's very clear that they are still really good mates and none of them have got over the European ban. Quote Mountfield 'We would have p*ssed it'
I already love Peter Reid - I'd love to be his drinking buddy but Big Nev was quality. Question ' Who is the best player you played against ' Big Nev 'Dunno. I never took much notice of the opposition'. Interestingly he doesn't rate Pickford. Says he's got the mannerisms of Tim Howard and the rest is Richard Wright!

That puzzled me for a second “ Does he mean the country or the female of that name.? “ , then I realised! Nope, was really referring to his social conscience. Jordan is as mad as a box of frogs , but he’s our box of frogs and I love him for it
