Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It’s unseasonably mild this morning in South Liverpool, if not a bit blustery. I was out walking the dog, and I had to take my coat off due to the warmth.

The river is quite choppy though, which must be due to being the winter solstice. Here’s the bottom of my road.

Ooh I recognise that view! Have walked around there many times. 🤣

Bonjour mes amis!

The day before Christmas, also known as Brett works his butt off day!

Have to say Mrs J hard at it in the kitchen too preparing enough food to feed the 5000. And we only have 5 people for dinner tomorrow.

Anyway to give her a well earned break I've sorted a Chinese takeaway for tonight so we can all relax. In addition, I must add I am responsible for the drinks lol !

Early start today as I was at the hairdressers for a little pre holiday trim at 8.30 . The sight of female stylists in very skimpy elf costumes was certainly a very pleasant start to Christmas Eve. Sorry no pictures @blue1948 , even I'm not that brazen. I'm working on it but I haven't earned my Sid the Sexist badge yet. Does anyone still get the Viz?

Well whatever you do today have a lovely day.

See you on Christmas Day for the legendary Brett Christmas photos.

Good morning all. We're having Christmas Day today because daughter is working tomorrow. So presents opened and turkey in the oven. We've had the traditional bucks fizz and bacon butty breakfast and played a couple of board games. The wine is going down nicely. I've had to stop drinking otherwise there won't be a turkey!
Have a lovely Christmas Eve everyone x

As it should be. I love my traditional Christmas breakfast probably more than my Christmas dinner: top quality sausages, bacon, black pudding and poached eggs.

Had a call from grandchild who has been tracking Santa via an app, very upset because he’s delivering to Japan therefore must have missed England, her life is over! Trying to explain time differences and rotation of the earth over Facetime to a distraught seven year old is not easy!
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas celebration @anjelikaferrett .
Oh bless her x

Good morning all on this Xmas day here in Finland . Merry Xmas and all the best to you all. I hope all are well after a good night and go on to have a wonderful day .
We are of to put candles on the wife's parents grave after we eat rice pudding at noon and watch the Xmas celebrations from the old capital Turku a bit like the sovereign's speach in the UK.
Have a great day all. COYB
Happy Finnish Christmas to you both Blue. Have a good one.
