Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this white morning here in Hyvinkää ,we have had about 30cm of snow with a squall and all my efforts clearing our road have been overturned by mother nature . We can clear our road but we still cannot go anywhere until the plough comes .We have a 4wd but the snow gets under the car and lifts it until the wheels have no traction . Such are the joys of living in the middle of nowhere in a Finnish winter .
I hope all slept well and have a fine day today .
Today I will be mostly clearing snow .:(

Tell me about it Blue. It's been -1 overnight here a couple of times and there's even been frost on the ground when I've woken up. A bit warmer last night though and no frost this morning. Not doing my Aeoniums any good I can tell you.

Had a walk up to the village centre this morning. Needed to post some Xmas cards and also buy some more stamps. There is a postmaster who sets up in the village hall every Tuesday morning so took advantage of that. £5.50 for 8 second class stamps. ? Cal had a stock on the go that I've just used up, so it's the first time I've had to buy stamps. Glad I don't send many letters.

Visited the village shop whilst I was there and picked up some fresh local bread and some local beers, of which they have an excellent choice. I tend to drink lager and cider in the summer, but during the winter I prefer local ales, the darker and stronger the better. Also picked up a pasty for lunch which I'm just about to devour. Was going to have a salmon salad, but I'm sure it will keep until tomorrow.lol

Have a great day all. Especially those experiencing the very cold weather. Take it easy out there.
